I have been working with families in HK, both as a psychotherapist and a facilitator of parenting classes for more then 10 years now.
Although I use an eclectic approach in my work with troubled children and their families, this is very much underpinned by Bowen Family Theory. I encourage anyone wishing to know more about what drives family dynamics and understand the predictable patterns that all families get into, to visit this link.
One of my particular interests is ‘the troubled teenager’, having been there myself. I always enjoy working with these young people and their families, who are usually referred to me by concerned teachers at various ESF and International Schools in the territory, where I have run conflict resolution classes for parents, students and teachers.
I also run a therapy group for teenagers from my Central office.
As a consultant to KELY Support I have enjoyed the privilege of working with these courageous and generous folks to help them further develop their wonderful conflict resolution and peer mediation programs which they use to reach out through their school visits and workshops to teenagers in the territory.
